Meet Doula Michelle Williams
Peace, I’m Michelle—founder of Star Doula International, LLC, a certified doula and proud mother of three (with one more on the way!). My journey into birth work began with my own transformative experiences of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. I’m passionate about nurturing, educating, and empowering families to make informed, confident decisions throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
With years of experience, I’ve supported families from all walks of life through evidence-based care, holistic practices, and a deep respect for each individual’s unique journey. Whether it’s prenatal nutrition, labor support, breastfeeding guidance, or postpartum care, I’m here to provide personalized, heart-centered support every step of the way.
Through Star Doula International, my mission is to make birth support accessible, affirming, and empowering—because every family deserves to feel seen, heard, and held.
SDI has a WHY!
Star Doula International got it's name from my own birth story. I was born right outside the entrance to the hospital in a van. Check my blog for the more detail version. My grandmother stepped out the van and seen a sky full of stars and at that moment She named me Starlite. I was eventually give my name Michelle but she always called me Star. So in honor to my an ancestor Gloria Wade and Odelia Wilson the women who were the Douglas and midwives to my birth and life. I named my Company after them. They were the women who taught me to heal and help those in need. I watched them help women and children my whole life . So I will carry on their legacy of healing and helping my community. Star Doula International Mission will always be to educate and inform communities, empower them to have control over their lives and health.

Star Doula International, LLC provides holistic prenatal and postpartum suppport services for families. We offer nutrition counseling, childbirth education,labor support, yoga, breastfeeding education and counseling, and more to support every stage of the pregnancy journey.
We are base out of Ypsilanti, MI but we service Wayne and Washtenaw counties and plan to expand in the further. We also provide virtual services to support clients worldwide.
We offer both! Many of our services, such as prenatal nutrition sessions, childbirth classes, and breastfeeding consultations, are available online and in person.
A doula is a trained professional who provides physical, emotional , and informational support during pregnancy, birth , and postpartum. Research shows that doulas can reduce labor time , decrease the likelihood of interventions, and improve overall birth experiences.
Ideally, as early as your second trimester. This allows time to build a relationship and create a personalized birth plan.
Yes! We support births in all settings. We’ll work with you and your care provider to ensure a safe, empowering experience.
We offer prenatal yoga, childbirth education, cooking classes, breastfeeding workshops, specialized sessions on prenatal nutrition, gestational diabetes, and more.

Absolutely! May of our services are available as private, one-on-one sessions tailored to your unique needs.
We offer ebooks, postpartum kit(coming soon) self-paced classes, and more to support wellness journey at every stage.
We are very excited about membership which will launch at a later date. Note: Our Monthly membership includes access to on-demand classes, exclusive resources, discounts on live events, and entry into support groups.
Yes we do expect Michigan Medicaid we are currently aspecting HAP Caresource, Priority Health, United Health Care, Meridian, Molina, and soon more that we keep you undated on. We can also provide invoices or super bills for you to submit to your private insurance providers or HSA/FSA account.
